The Large Research Projects of IMS (GPU) "Environments" and "SIS" (Health-related Innovative Systems) organize a series of meeting times to gather and discuss on representative projects and possible interdisciplinary collaborations.

Permanent staff, as well as PhD students and Post-Doc are warmly invited to participate.

The first "GPU coffee-time" was held on Friday, Nov. 25th. An overview of 2016 actions and perspectives has been presented, in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The poster competition linked to the event on Friday, Jan. 27th, has been successful. Other ones are coming.

Professor Nuno Borges Carvalho, Univ. Aveiro (UA), Portugal, Director of the Department of Electrical, Telecommunications and Informatics at UA, and a researcher at the Instituto de Telecomunicações - Aveiro Pole, will give a Talk entitled:"Sustainability, Frugal and Wireless Energy for Net ZERO Communications", Friday 20th of May, 13:30 - 14:30, IMS laboratory, Amphithéâtre Jean-Paul Dom, organized by the IEEE Student Branch team of Bordeaux and the transverse topics "EnvironmentS" and "Connect+" of IMS lab.

The GPU EnvironmentS organises the 1st "Climate Fresk" at IMS! More information on the page associated with the project "IMS reduces its environmental impact!"

Taking benefice of the Smart Campus Day, the GPU propose a "cocktail" from 5:15pm with poster presentation on your activities.

At this occasion, we will present two posters on the environmental impact issue and our participation in reducing the footprint of IMS, as well as a reminder of the contest with your ideas of incentive actions and events in this way.

In the context of the IMS lab's audit, from 17th to 19th July, 2018, the 4 projects (GPU) will be presented on Tuesday, July, 17, early afternoon and a "cocktail GPU" is planned at 18:00 pm. At this occasion, you are invited to present posters on your research activities, they will compete for the "Best Poster" awarded by each GPU.

On Wednesday, July, 18, and Thursday, 19, round tables are planned in parallel, to interact with the experts committee panel, about their vision of the topics of each GPU:

• Wednesday 18/07, 17h:15-18:15 pm, 1st Round Table (2 in parallel) : Environments and Intelligent Transports
• Thursday 19/07, 8:30-9:30 am, 2nd Round Table (2 in parallel): Internet of Things and Innovative Systems for Health

The next GPU's coffee event is planned on Friday, May 18th @ 9:00 am at the cafeteria. Go on thinking of a poster related to your best "GPUs" to be presented at the competition organized on July 17th, within the scientific days of IMS labs !

You expected it, here is it! The next GPU's coffee is scheduled on Friday, March 16th, 9:00am, still at the cafeteria. We would like to propose a short introduction of  the GPU's internship topics by their respective supervisor, with the student if arrived by this date!

The "Journée Thématique de l'OASU" (Observatoire Aquitain des sciences de l'Univers) will be held at IMS, onThursday 12^th October, 2017, 13h30 to 18h00 - Hall room Jean-Paul DOM. The topic is "Waves for Environment monitoring".
